MacG found himself surrounded by criticism and backlash when he asked US singer Ari Lennox what many believed was a disrespectful question about her sex life. Ari herself expressed disdain toward the podcaster after the interview was done. MacG has since shared an apology with the singer and everyone else who was offended by his question.
When MacG asked Ari Lennox who was f*cking her good at the moment, many people’s mouths dropped open from shock as they watched the singer literally start to cringe.
Days after the interview, Ari vowed never to do interviews again while slamming the podcast host as a “misogynist jerk.” Ari’s rant, which continued days after the interview went viral, received mixed reactions from social media users who either agreed with her or called her a hypocrite.
While many people immediately sided with MacG, it appears he is feeling very remorseful about the question and the way he asked it.
Speaking during a Monday evening episode of the Podcast and Chill show, the controversial podcaster shared an apology with both Ari and everyone else who thought he was being inappropriate:
“I want to sincerely apologize for that question and how it made her feel. And everything that came after that interview dropped. I’m not a malicious person. I don’t hate anyone.”
“I have the utmost respect for women. I would love to genuinely apologize to Ari and everyone who I might have offended with those comments,” he said.
