It was a date unlike any other, not only did Mr Smeg get to wine and dine with a beautiful lady, but he also landed himself a new gig.

The Twitter influencer – whose real name is Michael Bucwa – has revealed that Mercedes Sandton has cast him in their new advert.

This, after appearing at the national date with actress Pearl Thusi.

Taking to Twitter, Mr Smeg revealed that he would star in a new advert by Mercedes Benz Sandton.

He posted: “I can’t believe that I am gonna be the main Star kwi advert ka Mercedes Benz Sandton”.

Mercedes-Benz was an official sponsor of the national date and drove both Pearl Thusi and Mr Smeg to their destinations in luxury vehicles.

Tweeps congratulated Twitter celebrity on his money move and many teased the star about changing his handle to “Mr Mercedes”

Others encouraged the social media star to drop luxury appliance range “Smeg” after the brand snubbed his marketing strategy.
