The new committee, which features members from the DA, ActionSA and the Freedom Front Plus, will be without an Environmental and Agricultural MMC until next year.
Williams says the appointment will only be made next month.
“The MMC for Environment and Agriculture will be finalised in due course, in the meantime, I have asked MMC Dikeledi Selowa to act over this portfolio.
“This position will be finalised in January after we have concluded our council meetings in the new year.”
The new committee comes three weeks after Williams was elected as the mayor in the city council following the dismal election performance by the African National Congress (ANC).
The ten-member committee will consist of five members from the Democratic Alliance (DA), three from ActionSA and two from the FF Plus.

Utility Services – Phillip Nel (DA)
Environment and Agriculture will be finalised in due course, in the meantime, MMC Dikeledi Selowa will act over the portfolio.
