Reasons why Phindile Gwala leaves Imbewu

Phindile Gwala-Ngandu is a South African actress and media personality. She made her acting debut on Muvhango in 2012 but announced her resignation five years later, to push her brand.

She’s made appearances in other flicks and looks forward to more years on the scene. Born in Eshowe in KwaZulu-Natal in 1986, Phindile Gwala-Ngandu is currently 34 years. She’ll be 35 in December, and she’s so looking forward to that day.

Imbewu the seed breaks their silence over the firing of Phindile Gwala. Reports have been going around that Phindile Gwala was fired from Imbewu: The Seed because of her poor acting skills, however Etv’s popular soapie has rubbished claims that it fired popular actress, Phindile Gwala who plays the role of Fikile.

Eugene Cele the soapie’s Publicist reached out and said that the reports are false and that Phindile left the show to pursue other interests.

“The reports are false. She left to pursue other career interests. There is no bad blood between us, just grown, and we wish her well with her future endeavours,” said Eugene.

Reports suggested that her acting skills were so poor to the extent that the new producers of the soapie had to let her go. In 2017 she left Muvhango to pure her personal interest and now she is living again to do the same thing, maybe she did not leave Muvhango because she wanted but was also fired. Since she left Muvhango she returned to TV last year to play her Imbewu role.

Here were some reactions from fans of the etv soapie:

Javino said:“She did not make it seem real or genuine. Just said her lines and shed some tears while hugging her friends and family. I think producers are looking past beauty and physical features and are now looking for talent.”

Dlala Skwelethu said:“A lot of people are on our screens every day, not because they can act, but because they look good. Kudos to the Imbewu crew.”
